I hadn't realized it got put on the Autoshow. Actually, I'd gone this whole time without realizing cars would get moved there with each new series, so I may have bought a few new cars last night.
The Oldsmobile Tornado is FWD, but surprisingly it drives really well with the 7.2L Racing V8 (LSx?) swap and supercharged to about 1100hp. It doesn't understeer too badly. I kept the stock 3 speed (turbo hydramatic?) and it's got so much torque that the wide gears actually works pretty well.
I can't find where anyone agrees what the 7.2L Racing V8 is based on but it might be a Roush-Yates RY45. The 3-speed is indeed a TH425. It's not based on the TH400 though they share some parts.
